Lisa Alexander joined Freshpet in December of 2023 as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Ms. Alexander has over 25 years of broad-based legal experience in complex areas such as governance, strategic transactions and M&A, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory and commercial matters. Prior to joining Freshpet, she held General Counsel roles in both a founder-led start-up, Perfect Day, and a multinational, Firmenich, where she was responsible for the North and Latin American region. She began her career as a securities lawyer in major New York and Philadelphia law firms before moving in-house.
Nandini Natrajan joined Freshpet in January of 2024 as Senior Vice President, Food Safety and Quality Assurance. Dr. Natrajan has over 25 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance working for major food manufacturers in the meat, poultry, and seafood industry, and is a classically trained food microbiologist responsible for leading and transforming Freshpet’s FSQA space. Prior to joining Freshpet, Dr. Natrajan served as Vice President of Food Safety and Quality Assurance at Trident Seafoods from 2022 to 2023. From 2020 to 2022, Dr. Natrajan was Senior Vice President for Quality at Food Safety Net Services. Dr. Natrajan began her career at Keystone Foods in 1996, where she held various roles and earned promotions within the global FSQA division over her 22-year tenure. Following Tyson Foods' acquisition of Keystone in 2018, Dr. Natrajan continued to oversee the APAC Keystone FSQA operations. Dr. Natrajan holds a Ph.D. in Food Science from North Carolina State University.
Ricardo Moreno has served as Senior Vice President, Manufacturing & Engineering since September of 2022. Mr. Moreno joined Freshpet in December of 2020 as Vice President of Manufacturing and has over 15 years of hands-on experience in progressive roles surrounding manufacturing operations within the fresh and perishable product space. Prior to joining Freshpet, he was Regional Director of Operations at Bonduelle Fresh Americas, home of the Ready Pac Foods brand. Mr. Moreno oversaw a multi-site network of facilities in the New Jersey region and was responsible for a full suite of operational departments with demonstrated improvements through efficiency enhancement. Prior to this position, Mr. Moreno served a variety of different roles at Bonduelle, including Plant Director and Senior Operations Manager. Prior to joining Bonduelle in 2015, Mr. Moreno was Plant Superintendent at TIC Gums, Inc. where he led the Manufacturing and Maintenance Departments of the global leader in food texturizer and stabilizer solutions. He also led a successful brownfield project for TIC Gums, Inc. to open up operations in Guangzhou, China. Earlier in his career, Mr. Moreno also held an operations development role at Stanley Black & Decker. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Merida, Venezuela and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
